Huge crowd turns up for free food at Falls Church HS Food COVID Annandale Blog Falls Church High School Volunteers bring boxes of food to people's cars.
People started lining up at 8 a.m. for a food giveaway event at Falls Church High School May 28 that started at 1 p.m. The event, aimed at aiding families struggling financially during the coronavirus pandemic, was sponsored by Comunidad and Supervisor Rodney Lusk of the Lee District, with support from De Lune Corp, and City Light Church.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — Food insecure families will receive food on Valentine's Day as part of the third annual Sharing the Love Initiative in the Route 1 corridor.
Lee District Supervisor Rodney Lusk will join De Lune Corp and United Community for the food distribution at three locations on Monday, Feb. 14. Volunteers will give away free eggs, milk and pulses to over 1,000 families.

For the second year in a row, De Lune committed to sourcing and donating as many as 20,000 farm fresh eggs for the Alexandria United Community’s Eggstravaganza over Valentine’s Day weekend. This generous support to help local residents, families, food pantries and shelters was much anticipated as it provides a vital source of protein, which is important for brain and muscle development, and an essential for good nutrition that is often in high-demand at food distributions.

Thanks to the De Lune Corp. of Springfield, last Tuesday, Aug. 18, some 1,400 local families in need received a box of free dairy products. Each box contained cream cheese, instant milk powder, plain and vanilla whole-milk yogurt, butter and 64 ounces of low-fat milk. Volunteers from churches and other entities loaded the boxes into the recipients’ cars.

RICHMOND, Va. — The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Office of International Marketing is supporting the exhibition of two Virginia companies at the largest annual food and beverage trade show in the world. For the first time, De Lune Corp and Landcrafted Foods will exhibit their products at Gulfood 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 18-22.
